VITICULTURE
Vineyard: La Plana Location: L’Arboç (Baix Penedès). Varieties: Xarel·lo 50% · Macabeu 30% · Parellada 20%. Year of plantation: 1938, 1963, 1958. Soil: Calcareous and limestone. Altitude: 450 m · Orientation: Southeast. Fertilizer: Organic compost. Treatments: Sulphur and copper (minimum doses), herbal infusions. Production: 6,000 kg/ha · 5,500 kg/ha · 6,000 kg/ha.
ENOLOGY
Hand-harvested in 10 kg boxes. Produced following the traditional method. Primary fermentation for 20 days at 16 °C. Second fermentation at low temperature in bottle, resting in silence on the racks. Manual riddling and clarification. Aged for 24 months before disgorgement.
CONCEPT
In the heart of the Baix Penedès region, 60-year-old family vineyards grow on chalky, poor soils under the influence of the Mediterranean Sea. The old vines are surrounded by rich biodiversity, encouraging a natural equilibrium both in the vineyard and in the wine. Funambul (tightrope walker) symbolizes balance, between nature, patience, and precision.
