Single-estate (Pago de Valdestremero) Tempranillo 100% from the heart of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, made form selected fruit from the family estate in Peñafiel-Valladolid area in the Duero Valley. 27-37 year-old vines in the Golden Mile.
Total production in the range of 280.000 – 320.000 bottles
Hand-harvested. Traditional elaboration, deestiming, temperature-controlled fermentation in tanks, 12-14 month ageing in selected Frech oak barrel from 7 different coopers.
Pronounced and complex on the nose, with outstanding fresh fruit presence and mineral nuances. It retains freshness on the pallet, very well-balance and long lingering.
A Noble wine, to honour D. Pelayo de la Mata, 9 th Count of San Cristóbal and the 1st Count of San Cristóbal, OYDOR,-currently given its name to our icon wine in the region.
